As the Founder and Owner of Together Accounting, I’m in a privileged position to be part of setting the mission and ethos of the company. One area that I feel strongly about offering to our clients is the knowledge that working with us provides sustainability foresight without it clouding the quality of accounting work we provide. To do that, I found the Ecologi project that works with a myriad of companies, helping to take climate action in a straightforward way.
Why I Chose Ecologi
When I found out about Ecologi I was impressed by how simple their premise was and the genuine potential for change that they offer. They have a number of different options to choose from but I was most impressed by their plant a forest solution that allows me to put money into offsetting the company’s carbon footprint and ensures that vital projects are being funded.
The best thing about our partnership with Ecologi is that it does not take up time that I need to spend with clients; instead, it works hard for us with minimal input, so that we can continue to offer excellent service to all our clients without compromise.
Our Contribution and How it’s Evolving
At the moment, I’ve arranged for a direct contribution from Together Accounting towards our Ecologi pledge on behalf of each member of staff, helping to fund 72 trees and two projects so far. However, I recognise that we can all do more to help promote better climate action and I’m keen to see this contribution evolve as our business does, moving into a new phase of funding.
Our new commitment involves making a contribution of ten trees for every new client that uses the Together Accounting services and one further tree for every £100 they spend with us. Doing this will help us grow our donations much quicker and continue to evaluate our progress and increase it in the future when it is right for us and our clients.

If you are wondering if these donations mean bigger bills for our clients then fear not, this is something that we are doing at Together Accounting without the need to increase our fees to cover our donations. I feel strongly that sustainability should be a passive benefit for all our clients, giving you the comfort and peace of mind that you are working with a company that values the future of the planet over our total profits.
